MEET BOB TANKESLEY
Bob is a seasoned M&A Advisor to owners of lower middle market companies and is focused on the Industrial sector. He holds an MBA in Finance (1996) as well as a nonpracticing CPA license (since 2001). For the 5 years after graduate school, he worked in a manufacturing environment for a Fortune 500 company, then Big 4 accounting, and then a small tax firm, after which he started his own tax and financial advisory firm in 2001.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN ACTION
As a 4th generation entrepreneur, Bob has a keen understanding of the business owner mindset. Before starting M&A work in 2013, he ran his own CPA practice (including a financial services bolt-on) for over 12 years, always focused on serving the needs of business owners. Over the past 25 years, there aren't many issues he hasn't helped business owners deal with.

LEADERSHIP IN EXIT PLANNING
Bob is a co-founder and former board member of the Atlanta chapter of the Exit Planning Exchange, a 100-member volunteer organization established to change the trajectory of exit planning in the southeast U.S. He is also the author of Exit Teams, a book and ongoing media project designed to help business owners see the importance of building a team of collaborative advisors around themselves long before going to market. In connection with the book, Bob hosts the Exit Teams Podcast where he and guests regularly present ways to help owners optimize their companies and prepare for sale.

PERSONAL INTERESTS
A devoted family man, Bob treasures spending time with his wife and their five children as often as he's able. He is also a health and fitness enthusiast constantly pursuing the best version of himself and encouraging others to do so as well.
